Wasalni was designed to provide a reliable and localized ride-hailing experience tailored to the needs of users in Egypt. The platform connects riders with nearby drivers through real-time location tracking, map-based navigation, and clear trip status updates. The project focused on simplifying the ride-request process while maintaining strong trust, safety, and performance standards. By addressing local transportation behaviors and expectations, Wasalni delivers an intuitive experience that supports fast booking, transparent pricing, and real-time communication. My role focused on designing clear rider and driver flows that ensure usability, efficiency, and confidence throughout every trip.

Our approach centered on understanding real-world mobility patterns, user expectations, and challenges specific to ride-hailing in Egypt. We analyzed rider and driver journeys to identify critical moments where clarity, speed, and reassurance were essential. The design emphasized map-first interactions, minimal steps to request a ride, and clear feedback during every stage of the trip. Iterative prototyping and usability testing helped refine pickup selection, live tracking, and trip status indicators. My responsibilities included defining UX flows, interaction patterns, and visual hierarchy to ensure the experience remained intuitive, responsive, and trustworthy in real-time scenarios.
