Smart Innovations was designed to simplify how users interact with and manage smart home ecosystems through a single, centralized web interface. The platform enables users to control connected devices, monitor system status, and create automation rules without dealing with fragmented tools or complex configurations. Our approach focused on understanding how users perceive smart home systems and where complexity often creates frustration. We analyzed common device management workflows, automation needs, and user expectations around responsiveness and control. Based on these insights, we designed a modular interface that groups devices logically and surfaces essential actions first. Automation flows were structured as guided steps rather than technical rules to reduce cognitive load. Iterative prototyping and usability testing refined interaction patterns, feedback states, and dashboard layouts. My role included defining the UX strategy, information architecture, and interaction logic that balance simplicity with system power.
