Shelfy was designed to simplify how users manage and track physical products by combining image-based scanning with automated inventory management. The application allows users to photograph items, automatically record product details, and monitor expiration dates without manual input. The project focuses on reducing friction in inventory tracking, minimizing waste caused by forgotten products, and helping users stay organized. By transforming a traditionally tedious task into a quick, intuitive action, Shelfy supports better planning, smarter consumption, and more efficient product management through a clean and accessible mobile experience.

Our approach centered on removing manual effort from inventory tracking and making the scanning experience as seamless as possible. We studied how users currently track products and identified pain points related to data entry, inconsistency, and forgetfulness. Based on these insights, we designed a scan-first experience that prioritizes speed, clarity, and automation. The interface guides users through simple capture steps, while background processes handle categorization and date tracking. Iterative prototyping and usability testing refined camera interactions, confirmation states, and reminders. My role focused on UX strategy, interaction design, and ensuring the experience felt effortless and reliable.
