My role centered on designing intuitive data flows and visual structures that support fast comprehension and trust.

Our Approach

Our approach focused on understanding how users consume financial information and where confusion often arises when tracking commodity prices. We analyzed common investment tools and identified opportunities to reduce noise and highlight meaningful insights. The design emphasizes visual hierarchy, simplified charts, and consistent data presentation to help users quickly interpret price movements. Iterative prototyping and usability testing were used to refine interactions, ensuring users could move seamlessly between real-time views and historical data. My responsibilities included defining UX patterns, interaction logic, and visual guidelines that balance depth with accessibility.

Key Challenges & Solutions

One of the main challenges was presenting volatile price changes without overwhelming users or causing misinterpretation. We addressed this by using clean charts, controlled animations, and clear indicators for upward and downward movement. Another challenge involved building trust in the accuracy of financial data, which we solved through consistent formatting, transparent timestamps, and reliable update behavior. Ensuring fast performance during live price updates was also critical. These solutions created a stable, understandable experience that supports informed decision-making in a dynamic financial environment.
